While this warm-up is a set-back, remember how bad last winter was?

Interestingly, that very weekend would be one that some people would have said was a poor one.

If you remember, Heaven's Gate was on wind hold. The lines at the lower lifts were long. People were saying they wanted their money back because they were waiting an hour and a half in lines.

All ambassadors on ski cycles were sent thru the lines to time them. The only line out of the 20 minute time was Castlerock... which I believe I timed at 34 minutes.

I took a bunch of pix, most of which I've since taken down, but still have this one (http://groups.msn.com/JimsSceneryPix/recentpix.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=894) and the next two.

Yeah... That was one of those terrible days.

And that was the way it was. Nobody will say it was the best of years, but if you were at the right place, at the right time, you might have accidentally had fun. :D

That first picture is my buddy Goose.
The little guy can huck himself 30 feet and stick the landing but can't walk through his house without falling over.
He'll fit right in on the freestyle team this year.
