'lo all.
I just wanted to offer a clarification on some information that appeared in one of the MRG/Snowboarder posts. And before the flamewar begins, this does not involve the snowboarder ban. The user stated:
Checked into this last season, and hope I can buy into MRG in the future. You are allowed to purchase up to 4 shares per person. It keeps any one person from becoming a controlling share holder. You must also spend like $200 or $600 / share on MRG bucks which can be used in the shop or food services or for lifts. I think 4 shares entitles you to a pass or a discounted pass, but at $200/ share, you already bought it.
The APR is $200 per year per shareholder. So if an individual happens to own 4 shares, they are still only required to spend $200 at the mountain per year. And indeed, that $200 can be spent on Mad Money which is good all over the mountain, and it can also be used towards a season pass, or mad cards, or our ski school programs, etc.
Cheers,
-Neal
