I love Castlerock. It's almost a religious experience up there. I haven't had the pleasure of skiing Rumble yet, but it's on the to-do list...

Very wise this young one is. I think on another forum you posted Middle Earth was your favorite. Yes, very wise indeed.

What forum was that? ;) Yes, I popped my cherry there last season. In fact, this was the run:

Wow, that second pic of Castlerock is sweet. Other than powder that's as good as it gets.

Guess it had to be AZ?

Yep, I popped my cherry on Middle Earth last year for the first time. God. Yes. Makes all other religions look like, well I'm not going to get all blasphemous. Let's just say its nice.

We went up there a few years back and didn't do Castle Rock. It was a wierd day, a lot of ice/glaze cover and somebody actually got killed that day. Maybe it was a good thing we didn't do it that day.

I had been there a number of years earlier and had done it. Those pics are certainly nice. Kinda reminds me of some of the trails skiers right off the top of Pico, although a bit steeper.

....but I'm busy kneeling at Castlerock Chair's entry gate rope, rubbing my beads, praying for powder.

Why aren't all of you ?????
