What is going on over there? Are they making snow? Will it open before 2012?

Win's commented on MEllen gameplan and interactive map plus daily ski reports for past week have indicated the snowmaking effort that's been going on over at North. In short they've been blowing snow for a while up top (also the lower elevation GMVS terrain for stated reasons) and are hoping to open within a week tho warming trend from this afternoon forward unhelpful.

Snowmaking has been taking place on Panorama, Rim Run, Lower Rim Run, FIS, in the base, and on Inverness.

Yep just saw that! I'm shooting for Mon - Wed in the hopes of sparing the equipment and early season gouges. Will continue to make the dog do snowdances!

Open tomorrow with downloading on GMX. We had to go back and resurface after the warmth and rain. Blowing snow now on Rim Run and Looking Good and Inverness.
