They do know there is a playoff game at the same time?

Pats vs. ?Two wins before that comes to reality. But, if the Pats win two games, other than a Superbowl party in Dallas, the next best SuperBowl day would be to ski all day @ SB and then party with the rest of the Pats fans at the CP.

Went and saw the band. They were fun but very few people were there. The mountain needs to make up poster boards and post them all over the plaza so that people are aware during the day and make plans to come. I ask people on Sunday why they did not come out and the resounding anwser was that they did not know about it. Most people do not go to the web to check the entertainment. It needs to be a visual at the lifts and in the plaza.

We had a lot of posters up. Any idea how to get people to look at them?

Put a photo of Rumble on every poster: "Rumble Says:" (example) Head to the Castlerock Pub Saturday for great live music by...... Just customize what Rumble says with marker for whatever event you want to promote. (don't worry, not quitting my day job)

Sorry I didn't see them Win. I'm not sure where they were but I was going anyway so may not have paided attention. I guess it might have to be verbal as to snap people to attention. Lifties, ticket people, ambassadors, etc. could mention the show and put it into peoples minds I guess.

I must admit, i did not find them either, and i usually notice more than most. Maybe on the video boards at the lift corrals, or posted to the waste receptacle/tissue/map holders - give it an old fashioned poster look -
just my 2 cents..

I didn't see any signs.

I was there watching the game (I had to evacuate from my daughters quadruple spleepover. 4 10 year old girls and football do not mix well). It certainly wasn't packed, but there some people there. and I got a free PBR tshirt.

There were signs around in the usual places the week before (bathrooms, bulletin boards, etc.). Might they have been pulled down for the inaugural ball on Friday? The only two posters found by my wife (who is a Sugar Shack fan, and she was looking for them) on Saturday were one on the large board by the parking lot between Claybrook and the Schoolhouse, and another at the entrance to Castlerock Pub.

seriously,... who give a sh#@??? Where is lostone when you need him? You guys are complaining about lack of posters promoting some band I've never heard of,.,... The Greatful Dead could have been playing in CRP and I still would not have come! Pick your battles to complain about,... this is not something worthy of a response from management.

Who's complaining? If more people show up for the show, everybody wins.

This is not complaining, and I do give a sh#@. A lot of people like having late-night live music at Castlerock Pub - even bands we never heard of - and would be happy to see it continue, but people won't come to events they don't know about. It's excellent that management is willing to try "bigger print" and give this venue a chance to build some momentum.

This is exactly the point! We do not want these shows to go because of lack of bodies. DJD, you may not like the Castlerock for shows or may not come out of your cave in general but when this venue is walking distance from my place, it make for a great option. I think that the overall general consensus is that entertainment has been shrinking in the valley for the last 10 years so it is importaint for the overall health of the area to maintain what we have left.

Hopefully it will grow and they start getting some bigger acts in. I am still waiting for Grace Potter to come home to the Valley for a show.

I think we can get the Beach Boys, or at least Brian Wilson!
