4-8" in the valley, with feet forecast in the mountains by Monday am. Better get here, things can develop quickly. Top-to-bottom may be the least of the news.

How do you know it's been jinxed, if it hasn't happened yet?

Let's talk again Monday for postgame analysis. I'm not promising anything, but just because the advisory has been dropped, doesn't mean we won't get a solid dump at elevation.

Regardless, it is snowing!

John

p.s. The pic was over the top for an early season clipper, forgive my enthusiasm.

Forecasters can be more wrong than right you know! Fingers crossed, snow dance going.

Oh yeah, the skiing today was better than expected. Some nice soft natural snow on top of firm MG. Nice day even if it was a bit windy and cold at times.

I also like this forecast: http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?CityName=Warren&state=VT&site=BTV&textField1=44.12&textField2=-72.85&e=0

a bit windy and cold? the wind was brutal so be prepared. jester was fun. i couldnt see a thing on og so it was not so much skiing i was doing as paying defense. i kept thinking "first and last day of the season on tne same day is bad juju"
luckily shady jay was there to ease us into our chairs on the hg.

Radar indicates it's been nuking from the Canadian border all the way down to Middlebury Snow Bowl for several hours now. FWIW, water vapor loop on the North Atlantic indicates that the stalled out storm causing all of this isn't going anywhere soon. In fact, it looks like it's still retrograding back West. Me thinks that walking won't be necessary on Lower Ripcord tomorrow.
