... the rain stops and the temps drop. Last night when we got out of the movie, it was 47 and pouring. The dirt roads were full-on mud season. This morning, the trails are white again and there is snow in the forecast through next Wednesday. These clipper systems sometimes surprise, especially with Lake Champlain completely ice-free. Keep your ears open and your car packed.

Any wind damage? There were reports of 100 mph gusts on mount mansfield.

Crazy amounts of trees down ... we lost a big poplar at the house. I don't know exactly what happened all over the mountain, access is limited, but I imagine there are some new droppers in many places. As always, look before you leap into anything.
