For those that own property in Waitsfield, did you check out the "Results of the 2006 Reappraisal" we all got in the mail?.

My property taxes and reappraisal pretty much doubled. From one perspective that is bad, very bad. On the plus side since the stated goal of the re-appraisal is to list properties at 100% market value, my place is worth alot more than I thought it was and has increased 300% in value since I bought it in 1998.

That is why you only want your property value to go up until you are ready to sell.

It is likely that your property did go up greatly in the last number of years. Mine has gone up close to that. Rolling Eyes
