.....for one heck of an awesome season. Personally, I enjoyed the slopes of Mt Ellen 20 times this season and not one day was I disappointed.

Thanks to the lift ops, mountain ops, groomers, snowmakers, etc, .... and Win, for what was a great 2007/2008 Mt Ellen season.

Today's crowds all looked like they were having a blast, and partying it up on the ME base lodge deck. With a slight tear in my eye, I departed around 2pm... bidding a fond farewell to the mountain I've called home since 12/21/07. Till next season, Mt Ellen....

Jay

PS - I'll be at Lincoln Peak for the remainder of the season... don't get jeleous ME - you're still tops!

ME was great this weekend. I found corn and soft snow on Lower FIS (5-6 runs alone) and on Semi Tough and Walt's Woods. Very nice. And I am sporting a slight sunburn. From Mount Ellen you say???

Yes, it was great, and I too hate to have to close anything early while conditions are so good. We need help to convince people that the ski season does not end March 31st and one does not have to hang up the skis yet. If we can get more people out in April and not have empty trails, we could keep going longer at both areas. LP will be fun and hopefully we can keep going like last year.

How many "$net new$" people do we need to keep it open for a couple more weeks?

It really was a great weekend at ME. I know Win would keep ME open if it made economic sense. Maybe fall and spring weekends?
